Citrine Pendulum

Pendulums have been used for many centuries for divination purposes as well as dowsing to find water, oil, gold and other underground deposits. Any weighted item can be used as a pendulum, though it is much easier to use one with a point on the end. Many people prefer to use crystal pendulums as they may find a connection with the stone helping to strengthen the results of use.

To use your pendulum for divination: begin by cleansing the stone. Hold the chain between your thumb and fore finger with a drop of around 10cm, allowing any excess chain to sit in the rest of your hand. This length will give you the best control as it is difficult to determine answers from a pendulum with a long drop. To program your pendulum: you can ask it a series of questions. Begin with ‘what does yes look like?’ – the pendulum should swing in a particular way. You can test this by asking a question with an obvious answer e.g. ‘is the sky blue?’ Continue this by asking ‘what does no look like?’ and then ‘what does neutral look like?’ Now you can ask the pendulum any question you like – providing it has a yes/no answer, making sure to stop the pendulum completely between questions.
